CANASTA

  • Are you passionate to learn the game of Canasta?

Canasta is a card game that is played with a combination of two regular decks, and is usually played with four players in two teams. Play Canasta and try to make melds, or runs of numbers. Private and group lessons are provided with instructor Linda Feinstein, on Manhattan Upper East Side. Join us to meet like-minded individuals who share your enthusiasm for this game.

Welcome to Our Club

 We Meet every Wednesday, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at  Sarabeth’s Restaurant, located at Park Avenue South and 27th Street in New  York City. 

Buffet lunch is served upon arrival.  Gluten free menu is available.


Playing begins promptly at 12:30 pm and you must stay until 3.45 pm


Minimum 3.5 hours commitment required

All players must be in compliance  with MCC Rules unless otherwise agreed to by team members

Morgan Skelton, Director/Owner

Morgan  is a passionate card player who more recently became enamored with  Canasta. She has a broad background in business and international  relations and foreign policy.  Morgan is thrilled to be launching this exciting new  venture.  She is looking forward to meeting and  knowing the members.

Linda Feinstein

 A  self- taught entrepreneur and educator, Linda has taught over  four-thousand students, in her home, and the continuing requests for  lessons still amaze and thrill her. The students complete their  three-week Mah Jongg or Canasta  course, then they are prepared with  confidence to play the game. Indeed, her reputation brings prospective  players from all over the world. Women with various backgrounds enjoy  learning Canasta and Mah Jongg. Such well-known people as Jane Raab,  producer, Sex in the City, Blue Bloods; Meryl Poster, NBC executive; Letty Aronson, producer, Woody Allen Films; and Judith Ripka, acclaimed  jewelry designer have all enjoyed Linda’s expert Mah Jongg and Canasta Instruction.
